The Geislerhof Farm Resort is a true mountain village in Gerlos, at 1250 meters above sea level in the heart of the Alps in the Zillertal valley, within a Tyrolean farmhouse that is no less than 380 years old. Here family traditions and modernity are perfectly mixed together giving a unique, cozy and romantic environment.
At Geislerhof the whole family has the opportunity to experience an unforgettable vacation, to enjoy every moment spent in this fantastic place surrounded by green mountains. At the center of it there is nature, which becomes the home and the place your children will learn to love and know. They will be captivated by our educational farm and learn about animals and plants, and when they return home, they will bring with them a wealth of new emotions and unforgettable adventures. Everything here has been thought with children in mind. In fact, our resort is a small chalet village where cars are not allowed to drive, so that your children can play without danger while you can enjoy the beautiful scenery. An exciting trail through the entire farm will also allow visitors to get to know the entire farm, passing by the animals that live there and giving them a chance to cuddle ponies, goats and rabbits! A true paradise for our little guests.
However, if you also have a desire for outdoor activities, there are plenty of opportunities to choose. You can, for example, use an e-bike and discover the many bike and mountain bike trails: as many as 325 km of a network of different routes and tours divided by various levels of difficulty. However this is also a paradise for climbers, water lovers and anyone who loves action and strong adrenaline rushes. How do you feel about canoeing, rafting, climbing and paragliding?
At your disposal you will find 143 kilometers of ski slopes. In winter, the Zillertal Arena opens its 52 lifts to all skiers and snowboarders from mid-December through Easter. You can choose to whiz down the toboggan run, ski or simply admire the snowy winter landscape on a snow walk. In the evening, you can enjoy our chef's delicious dishes in our restaurant, the Erbhofa. An intimate atmosphere will welcome you: fireplace, sitting room, the spruce wood on the ceilings and walls and the terrace in front of the Wechselspitze. The cuisine is the typical Tyrolean one: it uses regional products from local mountain agriculture as well as products from our own farm. A really healthy and delicious cuisine!
During winter you can enjoy the famous skiing region Zillertaler Arena with its 1666 meters of slopes and 49 modern cable carts, which are opened from early December until Easter. Many cabins and snow bars offer you the possibility to make short or longer brakes and the Freestyle paradise Arena HOT-ZONE.TV Snowpark is a true highlight – not only for snowboarders. During summer this is the perfect destination to relax and refresh your spirit hiking through the beautiful mountain landscape. There is also a free bus that will take you to the different paths and back to Gerlos. If you like to try something more adventurous you can spend a day in the Tightrope garden, on a rafting tour or climbing in the climbing tower. What are you still waiting for?
