In spring, summer and autumnS. Maddalena in Val di Casies turns out to be an ideal starting point for hikers, Nordic Walking and Mountain Bike loversThe mountain huts in Laxiden and Kaser, with their green pastures and plenty of refreshment, are very popular destinations.
During winter, the ski area's No. 1 in Alto Adige, Plan de Corones, attracts skiers and snowboarders all around the area with its perfectly cured slopes and its modern and fast ski lifts.

The proximity to the town of Brunicothe main town of the Val Pusteria, that from Mühlbach, reaches the most eastern part of South Tyrol, makes possible a wonderful visit for a cultural tour or just a shopping trip.
Walking through the historic district of Brunico quickly turns into a cultural and relaxing experience, with its medieval streets, the graceful arches, the cantons, with balconies and colorful frescoes on the walls of houses and on the Unterreiner doorwhere you can admire the Archbishop Bruno von Kirchberg (founder of Castle Bruneck). A cappuccino break in the square is highly recommended!
